Connect GP Predictor to Claude or ChatGPT and play by simply chatting: ask about the next race, talk through your picks and let the assistant submit your prediction and bets. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), the standard way AI assistants plug into other apps.
Server URL
You will paste this address into Claude or ChatGPT. It is the same for everyone — your own account is chosen when you sign in during setup.

What the assistant can do
- Look up the calendar, the next race, the grid, race results, standings, your score and your past entries.
- Submit your prediction and place bets for the main race and the sprint.
- Search, join and leave leagues, and get your invite link.
- View and change your notification settings.
The assistant is asked to confirm with you before it changes anything, and it can only act on your own account.
Which accounts can connect
GP Predictor is free for everyone. Whether you can connect it depends on your Claude or ChatGPT plan, because adding your own (“custom”) connector is a feature of the assistant, not of GP Predictor.
Claude
- Claude Free — Yes. Works on the free plan, which allows one custom connector. If you already use another one, remove it first.
- Claude Pro / Max — Yes. Fully supported, with no limit on custom connectors.
- Claude Team / Enterprise — Yes. An organisation owner adds the connector once for the whole organisation; then each member connects their own GP Predictor account.
ChatGPT
- ChatGPT Free / Go — No. Not available: these plans cannot add custom connectors. Use Claude's free plan or the Telegram bot instead.
- ChatGPT Plus / Pro — Read-only. Developer mode (beta) on chatgpt.com in a browser. OpenAI allows only read tools on these plans: the assistant can show races, standings and your entries, but cannot submit predictions, place bets or change leagues and notifications.
- ChatGPT Business / Enterprise / Edu — Yes. Full support, including predictions and bets, in a browser. Only a workspace admin or owner can turn on Developer mode and publish the app; then each member connects their own account.
Plans and menu names are set by Anthropic and OpenAI and change from time to time. This table was last checked in October 2026; if a menu looks different, look for “Connectors”, “Apps” or “Developer mode” in your assistant's settings.
Connect Claude
Set it up once at claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app. These steps are for Free, Pro and Max plans.
- Open Claude and go to Customize → Connectors (in some versions: Settings → Connectors).
- Press “+ Add”, then “Add custom connector”.
- Enter
GP Predictoras the name andhttps://predictions.formula1.md/mcpas the remote MCP server URL. Leave the advanced settings (OAuth client ID and secret) empty, then press “Add”. - Find GP Predictor in the connectors list and press “Connect”.
- A GP Predictor window opens. Sign in if asked, check the permissions and press “Approve”. You never type your GP Predictor password into the assistant.
- Start a new chat. Make sure GP Predictor is switched on in the chat's “+” (tools) menu, then just ask — for example, “What's the next race in GP Predictor?”
Claude Team and Enterprise
- An organisation owner opens Organization settings → Connectors, presses “Add” → “Custom” → “Web” and enters the same name and server URL.
- Each member then opens Customize → Connectors, finds GP Predictor, presses “Connect” and approves access to their own GP Predictor account.
Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects custom apps through Developer mode, which is only on paid plans. Custom apps work on chatgpt.com in a browser only, not in the ChatGPT mobile apps. These steps are for Plus and Pro plans, where the assistant can only read.
- On chatgpt.com open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Open chatgpt.com/plugins, press “+” and choose “Add custom MCP server” (in some versions: Settings → Apps → Create).
- Enter
GP Predictoras the name and, under Connection,https://predictions.formula1.md/mcpas the MCP server URL. - Choose OAuth as the authentication, review the risk warning, select “I understand and want to continue” and then “Create as a plugin” (or “Create”).
- A GP Predictor window opens. Sign in if asked, check the permissions and press “Approve”. You never type your GP Predictor password into the assistant.
- Start a new chat, type @ and pick GP Predictor (or choose it from the tools menu), then ask away.
ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu
- A workspace admin or owner turns on Developer mode (Workspace settings → Permissions & roles → Connected data), then goes to Workspace settings → Apps → Create, enters the server URL above, chooses OAuth, presses “Scan tools”, signs in when asked and presses “Create”. The app is saved as a draft: publish it from Workspace settings → Apps → Drafts.
- Each member then finds GP Predictor (marked “custom”) under Settings → Apps, connects it and approves access to their own GP Predictor account. On Enterprise and Edu, the admin may first need to give your group access.
Things to ask
- “When is the next race and when do predictions close?”
- “Submit my prediction for the next race: Verstappen, Norris, Leclerc… — and show it to me before you send it.”
- “How much of my betting budget is left? Bet it on the pole sitter.”
- “Show the standings of my leagues and how many points I'm behind the leader.”
- “Remind me by email one day before the prediction deadline.”
Privacy and control
- You sign in on GP Predictor's own page; the assistant receives an access token, never your password.
- The assistant can only see and change what you can in your own account — never other members' predictions or settings.
- All the usual rules apply: deadlines, the betting budget and league limits are checked by GP Predictor, not by the assistant.
- You can disconnect an assistant at any time in Settings → Connected apps; it loses access immediately. Connected apps
Troubleshooting
The assistant is using the wrong GP Predictor account.
It uses the account you were signed in to when you approved access. Disconnect it in Settings → Connected apps, sign in to the right account on the website and connect again.
The assistant answers without using GP Predictor.
Check that GP Predictor is switched on for this chat in the “+” menu, and mention GP Predictor in your question. Otherwise the assistant may answer from general knowledge.
A prediction or bet is refused.
The assistant tells you why: usually the deadline has passed, the budget is used up or a driver is not on the grid. On ChatGPT Plus or Pro, changes are not possible at all — use the website, the Telegram bot or Claude.
The sign-in window doesn't open or doesn't finish.
Allow pop-ups for claude.ai or chatgpt.com, sign in to GP Predictor in the same browser first, then press “Connect” again.
